A family affair

Inclusivity also points to involving as many members of the family as possible in the ceremony. As well as contributions from grandparents and other older relatives, it’s great to consider involving siblings. After all, wonderful though it may be, the arrival of a new member of the family means a seismic shift for everyone and it’s great to mark this too, perhaps with a symbolic action such as a sand-blending, a candle lighting or a tree planting.
